What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
Accountabilities
Facilitate warehouse and environmental health and safety trainingManage safety performance indicatorsEnsuring that Cardinal Health's principles, policies and procedures are consistently practicedLeading and motivating the warehouse worker team to achieve productivity and quality goals.Coordinating workflow to accomplish overall business objectives (i.e, receiving, stocking, returns, cycle counts, and clean-up) accurately and effectivelyFilling-in for others and performing functional tasks daily where/when necessaryHandling general employee inquiries and solves routine problems within scope of the position, referring more complex problems to the next level supervisorMaintaining positive employee relationsPromoting team environment and facilitates process improvementSupporting the supervisor by assisting the monitoring of attendance/tardiness and provides input for performance appraisals of warehouse employeesWorking closely with other leads and supervisors within the facility to promote teamworkProviding assistance in the training and development of new hires and retraining of other employeesQualifications
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills required4+ years experience preferredProficient in Microsoft office preferredGood written communication skills MHE Experience preferredHS Diploma or GED preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this level
