What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED strongly preferredSome college preferredProficient in Microsoft officeGood written communication skills
What is expected of you and others at this levelApplies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasksDemonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibilitymaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issuesMay assist in recommendation of processes on new assignmentsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks with limited supervision. Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisorMay provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team membersMust have a flexible work schedule to accommodate training needs
Accountabilities:Responsible for site training for all Inbound and Outbound shiftsMust take a MHE training class to administer equipment certifications to employeesWhen not training, perform general warehouse dutiesLearn and train on all functions within the warehouseBe willing to train during the shift hours for new employees for at least 2 weeksA small amount of travel may also be required
