Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Cardinal Health is seeking a Search Technical Lead responsible for leading the development and support of Cardinal Health’s eCommerce Search solutions. This role will be responsible for leading the development of product & content search solutions using Coveo and working with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and other stakeholders to ensure that our search solutions meet technical and functional requirements. This position will also play a crucial role in leading the eCommerce operations and act as a SME for Search, Search data, and other relevant eCommerce functions with a focus on resolving customer issues with urgency. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative & organized individual who is knowledgeable about current best practices in search and is able to document and ensure that standards and architectures are being implemented correctly.
Responsibilities
Work with IT partners & Enterprise Architecture to understand & drive our approach for Product & Content search using CoveoUnderstand the overall data landscape at Cardinal Health to enable informed search architecture recommendationsWork with a cross-functional team to define approaches for non-product & content search solutionsWork with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand and meet functional requirementsLead a team of on- and off-shore developers to implement search solutionsJump on to Run and Restoration calls to resolve Search and other eCommerce issues quicklyOwn issues related to Search until they are resolvedIdentify root cause for Search issues and work with responsible team(s) to implement fixes and resolve issues quicklyQualifications
8-12 years of experience, preferredBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience, preferred4+ years of experience in development activities related to Search2+ years of experience leading a development teamExperience with Agile processExperience with Search concepts & systemsFamiliarity with DevOps concepts and best practicesComfortable leading teams and presenting information to groupsExperience with Search solutions like Coveo, Solr, ElasticSearch, etc.Exposure to mobile, eCommerce, and healthcare applicationsExperience working with cross-functional teams to help resolve customer and customer-impacting issues quickly.What is expected of you and others at this level
