EITSS Global Infrastructure Services NOC / Network Site Support Team Overview

As a supervisor of the NOC and Tier II Team, you will be accountable for supervising the team that supports the network infrastructure of Cardinal Health’s corporate and remote locations.     Typically, our remote site locations consist of 15,000 sq. ft. to 30,000 sq. ft. of office space and 250,000 sq. ft. to 950,000 sq. ft. warehouse facilities.  This role will require not only the technical skillsets needed to actively troubleshoot and fix network issues remotely, but also will have direct reports in which will be supervising workload and career paths.  You’ll work closely with technical resources (employees and partner resources) daily.  Service restoration calls (SRT’s) happen periodically.  The Supervisor will be required to assist in these calls from time to time and will be required to be on a management on call rotation to keep work/life/balance within the management team.   The role of the supervisor will be a mentor to the analysts and engineers and assist in supporting the team manager for team goal completion, maintenance renewals, tech refresh and capacity analysis, etc.  This is a technical working hands on supervisory position.

Demonstrates thorough understanding of networking concepts and systems including Routing and Switching, WAN/LAN, CloudGenix, Cisco & Aruba network devices, Aruba WLANs, Aruba Clearpass, and new technologies.​Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills and ability to make independent decisions.Applies comprehensive knowledge and thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities.Manages department operations and supervises professional employees, vendor resources and business support staffUnderstands the team workload, constraints, SLAs and holds team accountable.Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goalsAdministers and executes policies and procedures associated with deploying networks and associated infrastructure and productsFrequently interacts with customers and peer groups at various management levels (including senior management)Prioritizes multiple tasks while meeting deadlinesEffectively balances completing work constraints to ensure SLAs are met.  Ensures employees operate within guidelinesParticipates in scripting, process design, and automation for the administrative functions of the network team.Monitors network traffic including infrastructure performance to ensure high quality connectivity.Investigates and resolves vendor incidents through maintenance contracts. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferredMinimum 8 years’ experience required, 3+ years preferred in supporting enterprise applicationsMust have strong oral (English)communication and writing skills, including formal presentationAbility to utilize monitoring tools to analyze network consumption at sites.Cisco certifications (CCDA, CCNP, etc.) are considered valued for this roleRoute/Switch experience preferredHands on experience with Cisco, HP, and Aruba hardware preferredApplies advanced knowledge and understanding of network concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to troubleshoot a wide variety of symptoms that ariseCompetent in Command Line Configurations preferredWireless Networking experience (Cisco or Aruba) preferred802.11 Wireless Handheld Device experience preferredExtensive network infrastructure backgroundStrong IT Technical and process skillsAbility to work in team environment and as an individualSelf-motivated and desire to succeedTechnical writing skills a plusKnowledge with utilizing Microsoft Teams preferredDemonstrated innovative and strategic thinking required, as well as a track record of success implementing tactical solutions that result in measurable business benefitsParticipates in the development policies and procedures to achieve specific goals Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or modelsWorks on or may lead complex projects of large scope
