What Ops Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Maintenance is responsible for managing the service life of company assets which is inclusive of physical building and utilities, manufacturing/ warehouse equipment and tooling, office devices and physical layout of facility. This responsibility is completed through the management of appropriate internal and external resources as needed to ensure the dependable and safe operations environment necessary for a given Cardinal facility. This group has responsibility for both corrective and preventative maintenance and the necessary systems to manage, schedule and record this activity.

Accountabilities

Manage Timely SetUps and StartUps of molds and required auxiliary equipment to prepare machine for new production run as outlined in the work instruction for parts to be produced to production specifications.Perform job changeover by removing and storing tool and auxiliary equipment to prepare machine for next production run.Possess advanced processing and molding knowledge in setting and maintaining process operating parameters of molds, robots and related support equipment. Assures adherence to manufacturing requirements.Perform trouble shooting of molding processes and secondary operations (robotics, automation, packaging, palletizing) and equipment.Perform work in a safe manner and insure that molding machines and auxiliary equipment are cleaned up and in a safe working condition after all work is completed.Insures that all  PCR inspections are  completed as required.Documents and maintains all relevant process data to ensure quality and dimensional stability of parts throughout production.Ensure that all maintenance records and related paperwork are filled appropriately and kept in compliance with FDA & ISO standards.In depth knowledge of  RJG technology via e-dart control.Participates in conducting processing, equipment validation and capability studies with Engineering department. Manages entries in PCR and MSG databases.Leads continuous improvement events and projects.Conducts root cause investigation to address any major processing issue. Report investigation to maintenance or production leadership.Works with Engineering department to qualify and implement new and alternative plastic materials and colorants.Conduct TPM and SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) Kaizen events as required.Able to systematically adjust process parameters to repair molding process problems without assistance.Train and mentor junior technicians and technical operators on mold process theory and controls.Understands principals of a Color Measurement system and continually monitors Color data.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, preferredTechnician School or advanced college education, preferred4+ years related work experience and/or training requiredPrevious experience working in manufacturing environment, strongly preferredExperience working with injection molding machines, strongly preferred
