What Global Manufacturing Excellence contributes to Cardinal Health

Global Manufacturing Excellence is responsible for executing the strategic goals for operational excellence within a business segment, unit, or function including the selection and development of resources, managing the project pipeline, and ensuring ongoing communication about progress against goals. Works with multiple cross functional teams, business practitioners, and/or senior leaders and pursues independent actions to synthesize findings, develop improvement recommendations, and lead initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead and drive the Manufacturing Excellence program for a specific site, region, or value stream to drive results in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and PeopleResponsible for executing hands-on continuous improvement projects to support standardizationIdentify, develop, and execute projects to support process optimizations and cost-savingsConduct gap assessments of current business and/or functional performance using fact-based research techniquesApply world class best practices and process improvement tools while producing results for our business segmentGathers and interprets internal and external customer requirements for a segment or multi-segment process and establishes optimal process parametersProvide training and coaching on continuous improvements tools and techniques to build internal competenciesResponsibility year-over-year within broad organizational operational excellence improvement effortsResponsible for aligning with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to develop and implement performance improvement recommendations

Qualifications

Bachelors in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience directly related in continuous improvement preferred6+ years of experience working in medical device manufacturing setting, preferredLean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, preferredExperience in Kaizen processes, implementations, and continuous improvement recommendationsFamiliarity with SPC, Experimental Design, and Statistical Sampling TechniquesExperience working with FDA Quality Systems Regulations and ISO Quality SystemsAbility to lead team toward operational objectivesAptitude to contribute to strategic goal-setting for department/business unitStrong leadership, coaching, communication, problem solving and implementation skills requiredExperience with change management and influencing, negotiating, and communicating across multiple organizational levelsTravel expectations: up to 25% overnight travel, domestic and international

Anticipated salary range: $88,800 - $126,800
