What Commercial Technologies Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health
Commercial Technologies manages the enterprise's portfolio of commercial technologies to maximize the business value of the technologies and enhance the customer experience. This function creates strategies for the portfolio and innovative solutions based on relationships with business leaders, develops back-end solutions and capabilities, and improves the front-end experience.
Commercial Technologies Software Engineering develops design options, process improvements and back-end solutions for commercial technologies to maximize performance and suitability for business needs. This job family manages engineering projects and plans for commercial technologies and interfaces with product managers to develop objectives. This job family assesses product systems, identifies opportunities for process and system improvements, and develops solutions through application of engineering principles.
Responsibilities
Possess and emulate a highly collaborative, team-first attitude while developing products that positively impact lives.Utilize hands-on expertise and experience across the entire technology stack including system design, system interoperability and software architecture. Be involved in all stages of product design and development, from development of the MVP through architecting and building a scalable production system. Promote deliverance of quality products through practices like TDD, ATDD and other software validation and testing approaches. Understand and execute on complex, and sometimes non-technical, customer and business needs. Maintain a perpetual learner mindset. Mentor and coach less experienced teammates through solving challenging technical problems.Promote an innovative and fast-paced, team centered-environment.Qualifications
8-12 years of total experience with 2+ years in a technical leadership role such as Senior Engineer or Architect preferredBA, BS or equivalent experience in related field. Advance Degree may be requiredBroad experience in multiple programming languages, models and techniques Expert-level Python proficiency Proficiency in client-side web development Proficiency in data modeling and API design Proficiency with SQL/relational databases Experience in working with ETLs involving data formats like HL7 or D.0. Experience with modern cloud hosting platforms Comfortable working with open-source technologies Experience in healthcare, especially pharma related field is a plusWhat is expected of you and others at this level
