Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, some overtime and weekends as needed

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilities​

Have working intermediate knowledge in Microsoft 2007 applications; i.e.; Excel and Word.Must be very attentive to detail.Interpersonal Skills with vendors and corporate customer service.Observe all safety precautions and regulations at all times in all areas where duties are performed.  Responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions.Understanding of all current DC/plant policies and procedures.Utilize AIMS to process inbound transfers and purchase orders.  Communicate with customer service and customers regarding shipments both outbound and inbound. Communicate with carriers regarding shipments to ensure on time delivers, both inbound and outbound.Use the online tracking system for shipments for LTL and small package.Closeout 1st shift LTL – Verify loads and notify carriers that the freight is ready for pick-up.Closeout 2nd shift TL – Prepare bills, notify carrier of pre-assigned trailer number, verify back orders for initials, make sure that all adjustments are made and totals are correct for billing.Maintain all productivity, quality and usage reports as it relates to the distribution center.Actively participate in process improvement teams in all required areas assigned by the DC managerCross train to diversify knowledge of warehousing and logistics.Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.Process requests for tracking information and handling return requests via emailResearching and responding to customer service via the CRM systemManage orders leaving the warehouse by preparing loads for shipmentAssist drivers with deliveries and pick upsVerify and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments.Research PO's for receiving departmentCommunicate with planners to reconcile any discrepancies with PO's

Qualifications

High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferredMinimum of 3 years administrative experience preferredMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), 10 Key, and TypingComputer knowledge and attention to detailMust be able to speak, read and write professionally
