Research and Development Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing new products through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering and documentation practices.

Job Summary:

Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications.

Works on basic and routine assignments Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods. Adheres to all quality guidelines. Works under close supervision.  All work is reviewed for accuracy. Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding.

Accountabilities:

  • This is a Toolmaker/Mold Maker entry level position. The employee will design, build, and process (injection molding) prototype molds for the medical industry. Toolmakers also design and build test fixtures for finish part testing.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to work one on one with the engineering staff is important.
  • Must have ability to work to tight tolerances (i.e. +/-0.0005” or less).
  • Knowledge of machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinding) preferred.
  • Previous experience in mold & fixture making is a plus.
  • Solidworks, and Solid CAM or MasterCam experience preferred.
  • EDM, NC Milling Machines, NC Lathe, Injection Molding Machines and 5 Axis Mills is a plus.

    Qualifications:
    0-1 years of experience preferred
    High School Diploma or GED preferred

    Trade School Education Preferred

    Anticipated hourly range: $30.00 per hour - $33.00 per hour
