Part time
This is a PRN/As Needed Pharmacist position. This position will be covering vacation time, sick time, and 1-2 weekends per month. Hours needed will vary based on your availability, 7a-3:30p, or 8a-4:30p Monday through Friday. Weekends 7:30a-11:30a, and Sunday 1pm-5pm.
The Pharmacy managed by Cardinal Health, is located within the Meridian Alliance Health Center.

Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasksIdentifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolveApplies judgment within defined parametersWork reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracyAbility to work an occasional Sat or Sun on a monthly basisResponsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day pharmaceutical care and management of patientsInteracts with health care providers and prescribers involved with the patientReview prescriptions prior to dispensing and verify all questionable prescriptionsEnsure appropriate storage of products in the facility and compliance with all laws, regulations, and accrediting agencies standardsMaintain the required number of continuing education credits to maintain credentials as required by each state licenseAssist ancillary personnel with purchasing, inventory control and other dutiesOther duties as assignedQualifications
Bachelors degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred3+ years related pharmacy experience preferredCurrently licensed to practice pharmacy in State of opening or eligible to reciprocateIn-patient hospital pharmacy experience is strongly preferredAbility to hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and health care professionalsManual dexterity required for occasional reach, lifting and holding of small objects.Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed.Computer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems.Ability to work weekends or be in a weekend rotation.Ability to work on call or be in an on call rotation.Ability to work holidays or be in a holiday rotation.What is expected of you and others at this level
