The National Sales Director will be responsible for expanding the Cardinal Specialty footprint within the RA, GI, and Infusion market by leading a team of 2 field-based sales consultants and 4 inside-based representatives across the country focusing on community-based practices. They will ensure strong market presence for Cardinal Specialty within drug distribution and technology solutions that support community practices. This role will have input and responsibility for executing against a go-to-market strategy within the RA, GI, and Infusion Market.

Accountabilities

Team Management

  • Provide leadership support and direction to the sales team, expecting execution against annual goals and objectives, achieving financial expectations, and establishing development plans for each team member.

    Pipeline Management

    • Develop and hold sales team accountable for building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities within Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate forecasting and goal attainment.  Ensure a strong partnership with revenue management and implementation teams to ensure smooth customer negotiations and onboarding, escalating where needed.

      Strategic Execution

      • Support, provide input and execute against all strategic initiatives by driving adoption and execution within the team. 

        Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s and Advanced degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
    • 8+ years of experience in healthcare sales or related field
  • Experience with community-based RA, GI, and Infusion practices
Prior leadership experienceDemonstrated experience implementing complex and effective marketing strategiesSkilled at managing third-party and vendor relationshipsDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated analytical prowess and uses analysis to enable improved decision-makingAbility to handle multiple complex projects and requests simultaneously; detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, budgeting, organization, and time management skillsAbility/willingness to travel up to 60% (domestic travel only)

Anticipated salary range: $169,400-$203,300
Bonus eligible: Yes
