What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendor
AccountabilitiesLoad machines with raw materials and make minor adjustments as required in order to keep production equipment running efficiently.Notify team leader or supervisor immediately of any deviations or non-conformities encountered.Notify mechanic immediately in the event of an equipment malfunction.Perform routine cleaning activities for equipment and assigned work area as required.Required to complete all training as assigned through the electronic training management system.Responsible to observe department's safety regulations and to use personal protective equipment as required per Job Safety Analysis (JSA).Responsible for adhering to plant policies/procedures, department Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), ISO 13485 regulations and Good Housekeeping procedures.Shall operate in a manner that protects the health and safety of its employees/visitors and operate in a manner that conserves energy, natural resources and protects the environment.Report any unusual circumstances to immediate supervisor and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.Performs various tasks involved in the manufacture and packaging of medical devices.The operator will be trained in and will follow written procedures and oral instructions for work to be performed.Job performance will be based upon pre-determined criteria for quality of work and productivity, as well as attendance, company policies and procedures, safety performance, and standards of conduct.Maintain a neat and organized work environment.Required to maintain production standards.Complete Device History Records (DHR’s) and all other required quality paperwork.Train on and run other machines within the focus factory as needed by production management.Perform product inspections in accordance to training instructions and using basic measurement equipment and visual aids
QualificationsHigh School Diploma/ GED preferredManufacturing experience preferredAbility to follow direction and change prioritiesGood verbal and written communication skills Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
