What does Supply Chain Product Management contribute to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Supply Chain Product Management is responsible for identifying, recommending, designing and implementing new solutions for the Supply Chain organization including new technology features, practices, processes, metrics or models. Supply Chain Product Management develops the strategic vision, supporting business case, and financials for new products. Manages project timelines and budgets.
As a Clinical Specialist on the Supply Chain Product Management team, you will have responsibility for individual inventory management product solutions sets that works towards building/enhancing Cardinal Health inventory management solutions. You will partner across the CHIME program, as well as with business and technical teams to identify opportunities and develop solutions that will drive a positive customer experience fulfilling more orders. You will work with business users to drive discovery research, problem validation and solution validation. You will support investments in your product by providing clinical insight and guidance on validations and solutions. You will quickly learn the Cardinal Health business and the Inventory Management processes to build, improve, and maintain your product. You will leverage your pharmacy and industry expertise, your stakeholders, customer feedback and relevant market information to achieve your product goals.
Responsibilities
Develop clinical product vision, strategy, business case and implementationBreaks down vision and strategy to manageable business roadmapOversees all stages of product creation from start to finish to ensure they meet the business needs from meet current day need to agreed scope of futuristic visionOwns the product, hence must ensure that all the functional and technical aspects of the product and its features meet user requirements.Collaborates with business users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirementsTaking business requirements to envision product outcome based on vision of the product with pharmacy and clinical impactTranslate the strategy into actionable tasks and work with cross-functional agile teams to execute those requirementsProvide quantitative and qualitative analysis to support product objectives Accountable to the financial performance of the productPrioritizes and manages Product backlog items based on changing requirementsPartners in developing user storiesCommunication and collaboration with the project agile teams and key business SMEs and stakeholders is a major part of the product owner’s routineResponsible to collaborate with leaders in developing/updating the business roadmap and business casesMonitoring, evaluating product progress at each stage of the process and be able to articulate progress, accomplishments, and challenges in various stakeholder meetings. Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updatesParticipating in sprint planning meetingsWork closely with Enterprise IT on technology needs for product development Build relationships across the Inventory Management team, Procurement/Sourcing, Account Management and Systems teams to inform decisions and maintain feedback channelsQualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, or equivalent work experience, preferredLicensure, or licensure-eligibility, to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio, preferred (RPh)8+ years experience in related field preferred8+ years in hospital or retail pharmacy, both preferredHands on analytical tool skills preferredExperience developing creative and innovative analytical insights with high business value preferredAbility to take a scenario or opportunity figure out how to close the gapsShould have experience/demonstrated strong analytical skills, problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skillsProfessional level business writing skills preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this level
