What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and development and direct supervision to 5 department supervisors and 2 trainersIndirectly supervise approximately 100 total teammatesManage multiple functions to include the Shipping, Receiving and Compliance DepartmentsSponsor and run LSS projectsPeriodically attend meetings outside normal schedule windowEngage with teammates to promote D, E & I initiatives and serve the communityImprove team performance across key safety, service, cost and quality metricsQualifications
College degree or equivalent experience preferred3-5 years experience3+ years supervisory/management skills preferredStrong communication skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office productsWhat is expected of you and others at this level
