The Delivery Manager for MyPharmacy is part of our Outcomes product offerings, where Our Focus = Your Outcomes. Outcomes is the national leader in the design, delivery and administration of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs. Our team is committed to leveraging local relationships among pharmacists, patients and prescribers, along with innovative technology to help achieve optimal health outcomes.
Delivering successful MTM programs via a nationwide network of pharmacists has been our singular focus for more than 20 years. Founded on the belief that pharmacists have been underutilized medication experts, Outcomes has long advocated for the value of interventions provided by local pharmacists and educated payers on the need for medication management. We entered the MTM marketplace years before the term “MTM” was coined in the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003. Delivery Managers function within an Agile development environment by managing the activity of one or more development teams in meeting the objectives of developing and delivering products that will bring healthcare and technologies together to transform healthcare into a safer and more cost-effective industry.
The Delivery Manager will work with product manager and business partners on execution and delivery of objectives, manage the team daily operations, manage vendor relationships, ensure data compliance, manage career development, and perform staffing responsibilities.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServant Leader responsible for managing/coaching agile software development teams in delivery of software products to marketPartners with product manager and the development team to establish a product delivery roadmap and ensures there is a shared understanding of product/business requirements’Partners with product manager to ensure the team is producing a solution that meets established standards, procedures and practicesCollaborates with stakeholders to aggressively address issues, risks and mitigation plansEnsures that software development teams have the resources in place that they need to deliver software products, while removing blockersWork with team to estimate and size work, establishes and maintains a burn up against milestones.Partners with stakeholders to establish and manage expectations around milestones and schedule. Provide coaching on the adoption and improvement of agile/lean management and engineering practices on teams.Encourage collaboration and proactively seek opportunities to improve collaborationTracks and ensures visibility of historical team metrics and progress of the Iteration and releaseAssists with internal and external communication by transparently radiating information, especially relative to historical team metrics, progress towards Iteration and release goals, and team capacityOptimizes, increases and sustains throughput; ensuring prioritization of work by value and riskIs collaborative in driving decisions and team behavior, guarding against making decisions and assignments for the team and instead creates and environment where teams have the context needed to make the best decisionEnsures iteration-based meetings are effectively facilitated, the outcomes are achieved, and their cadence is maintainedAssists team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, sizing and taskingFacilitates frequent retrospectives, sharing metrics to identify and implement improvementsCoordinates release and sprint planningAssists team members with career development and planning by coaching and managing individual performance of team members by providing leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team membersManage security and application controls for the adherence to HIPAA and PHI security guidelinesTracks and manages the team delivery against fiscal year budgetResponsible for staffing the team as needed
QualificationsA Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either:2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccineBachelor's in related field, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 4 years of management/leadership experience in delivering software products in an agile software development methodologyHas significant experience coaching multiple teams as a servant leader to achieve measurable and sustainable improvements in speed to market, quality, team engagement and customer delightExpert in Agile practices with the proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders in practice adoption and maturityHands-on experience in the proactive, passionate improvement of software development process and practices to optimize business value deliveryPreferred to have direct experience in a Web, Java, XML, RDBMS development environmentMust have experience overseeing multiple development teams from 3 - 8 team membersMust have exceptional written and verbal communication and time management skillsMust be self-motivated, organized, self-confident and self-directing with a proven ability to identify priorities and mobilize initiatives in an orderly fashion to achieve desired results with minimal supervisionMust be effective and efficient in identifying and proposing creative, innovative solutions to complex, time-critical challengesMust possess excellent situational awareness and an ability to remain calm under pressure and be cognizant of how you are perceivedMust have hands-on experience and a thorough understanding of agile software developmentA record of successful delivery of software products as an individual, team leader, and/or development manager
