3rd Shift: 11:00pm-7:00am Sunday-Thursday

What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenanceEnsure proper set-up of production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specificationsInterpret electrical schematicsTroubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment that includes industrial controls, motor starters, VFD's, relays, temperature controls, photo eyes, etc.Use of a Oscilloscopes, Voltage Meters, Current Meters, Logic analyses, etc.PLC diagnostics using ladder logic languages (RSLogix, Medoc, Keyence, etc.).Panel building and wiring various machine control circuits.Soldering, De-soldering, cable building, troubleshooting circuit continuityAC/DC Motor troubleshooting, repair, and replacementCompletes yearly safety or ergonomic project.Address Quality issues and identify potential quality risksManage multiple quality improvement or NCR reduction projects and help production engineering drive to completionParticipate in multiple root cause analysis (PCS) and drive action items to completionAddress production issues to exceed production standards and scrap objectivesTake initiative on CI activitiesAssist with mechanical repairs when neededLead maintenance excellence in work areaServe as trainer to techs and setupsTake initiative to further develop their own skills and skills of othersDemonstrate leadership and serve as a leader in the maintenance group.



Qualifications

4+ years of experience preferredOne year certificate from college or technical school (machinist, engineering technology) preferredProficient in the use of small hand tools and electrical hand toolsProficient with necessary measuring equipment (Dial calipers, micrometers, gages, et.)
