This strategic individual contributor has responsibility to lead, direct and enhance critical relationships with Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions’ Southwest portfolio of Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and independent hospitals. This role serves as a liaison between the Strategic Growth and Foundational sales teams and will ensure best practices are followed and strategies are aligned.
As the lead contract negotiator and relationship builder for a myriad of IDNs, this director will use his/her acumen, demonstrated persuasive communication ability and strategic, solution-oriented approach to maintain, develop and grow sales.In addition, this individual will possess an ability to navigate matrixed organizations and complex sales cycles while delivering high-touch, white glove service.
This position reports to the Senior Sales Director Strategic Accounts. Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions is a division within Cardinal Health’s Pharmaceutical Segment.
Position AccountabilitiesUnderstand, competitively position and clearly communicate Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions’ value proposition to appropriate audiences, including but not limited to c-suite, sourcing/procurement directors and clinical call pointsLead, direct and grow large, territory-centric accounts, including but not limited to Memorial Hermann, Banner Health, MD Anderson, Baylor Scott & White and University of Colorado. ~ $40m quota & 23 IDNS.Clinically differentiate products and services to win business from competitorsCreate valuable, win-win relationships with target audiencesManage complex negotiation processes with Cardinal Health’s Southwest portfolio of IDNs and independent hospitals; serve as an internal strategic advisorWork with local Foundational sales teams to foster mutually beneficial relationships and align resourcesIn-depth functional expertise and broad business knowledge; applies expertise to develop and achieve strategic financial and operational objectivesInfluence customer and/or organizational leadership through effective listening and communication to accomplish objectivesDemonstrate a comprehensive understanding of assigned customer's successes, challenges, and strategic objectives; draw from financial acumen and the use of analytics to recognize and provide advice regarding potential opportunities and risksProfessionally represent Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions at trade association meetings to promote the company’s products and services
Position Qualifications and AttributesBachelor's degree in a related field or commiserate experience; graduate degree preferredMinimum 8 years healthcare sales, complex account and relationship management experienceAbility to successfully endure sales cycles that span two, three and even four quartersExcellent planning, forecasting, financial and negotiation skillsSelf-starter; able to determine, independently, solutions that ensure business objectives are achieved within acceptable tolerancesDemonstrated matrix management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teamsExecutive presence and solid presentation and communication capabilitiesAbility to travel 25+ percent
