What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health
Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).
Nuclear Pharmacy is responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines may also consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy.Per-diem - Part Time - Flex ScheduleIncluded in the Holiday Call rotationNo routinely scheduled hoursAvailable at will (can deny opportunities for work)We ask that candidates have a fairly open schedule and be available at least a few times a month to keep up with training at a very minimumRecently we have called our existing per diems in once to a few times a weekWe ask that they be available at least 1/3 times that we call enquiring about a work opportunity.In addition to their hourly rate, all last minute call-in’s (less than 12 hr notice) will be paid a one time per diem premium pay of $30If “Per Diem” driver is scheduled in advance (greater than 12 hour notice) driver will be paid a one time per diem premium pay of $15 Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containersUses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation Processes packages returned from customer locationsMaintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairsPerforms general facility cleaning and other duties as required High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferredMust hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving recordMinimum of 21 years of age due to driving of company owned vehiclePrior delivery driving experience a plus Ability to lift containers weighing up to 75 poundsComfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hoursAbility to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of timeStrong customer service and communication skills Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed Ability to use computers and tablets Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasksReadily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolutionWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methodsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks under moderate degree of supervisionWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisorRefers complex unusual problems to supervisor""
