What Consultant, Pharmacy Data Management and Analytics- LRCQ provides to Cardinal Health?
Cardinal Health’s Anti-Diversion, Controlled Substances Monitoring and Regulatory Reporting program includes a state-of-the-art, constantly adaptive, rigorous system supported by program specialists who monitor and investigate suspicious orders using advanced analytics and other tools. We operate a stric and uncompromising system to spot, stop, and report to regulators suspicious orders of prescription controlled substances, including opioids. The anti-diversion program involves three main components — “Know Your Customer,” electronic monitoring, and site visits. The outcomes of these components are fully integrated with technical capabilities internally and externally.
As a Consultant, Pharmacy Data Mgmt and Analytics, you will play a critical role in leveraging existing customer data along with managing new customer data requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with IT to develop any necessary systems and operational processes to ingest customer data, work with legal to fulfill regulatory requirements, and work with Supply Chain Integrity to deliver the data in workable format for Analytics. They will execute these duties via close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, Operations, Legal/Compliance, Information Technology, and data vendors.
The role reports to the Director, Software and Information Platforms – Anti-diversion Compliance Program with dedicated accountability to the Supply Chain Integrity function. This position requires communication skills, decision-making skills, business and technical acumen, and a passion for improving the integrity of the healthcare supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing and prioritizing the development work for Pharmacy Customer Data applications and other solutions in support of Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Quality (LRCQ)
- Become a subject matter expert in pharmacy dispensing data and act in such capacity in support of solution design and operational processes.
- Help manage data processes and relationships with data suppliers and vendors. Manage data projects and timelines with vendors.
- Work closely with IT solution managers, technical leads, business analysts, and agile developers to clarify design questions and build requirements for solutions. Validate system features and enhancements by testing acceptance criteria.
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy and quality of all pharmacy customer data that support LRCQ due diligence processes.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions and operational metrics and analytics that provide critical information, insights, and decision support to business leadership.
- Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and business partners to understand product scope and priorities in an agile environment
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedure and content documentation for pharmacy customer data.
Qualifications
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills
- Understanding of relational databases. Strong understanding of data related to defined process and technology solutions
- Understanding of agile best practices
- Demonstrated experience with querying, manipulating, and aggregating data from business systems to produce meaningful analysis.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Basic understanding of operations, dispensing data, or data systems in pharmacy or other healthcare related area is a plus.
