Position Summary

The Oncology Sales Director will be responsible for expanding the Cardinal Specialty footprint within the Oncology market by focusing on Community-Based Oncology practices within a defined geography. They will ensure strong market presence for Cardinal Specialty within drug distribution and technology solutions that support community oncology practies. This role will partner closely with Account Executives and Account managers to ensure retain of any new oncology practices.

Accountabilities in Role

New Business AcquisitionIdentify/target new business development opportunities, build pipeline, and close new business for newly contracted customers, maintaining a pipeline within and becoming a market expert within a defined geographyLead ManagementRespond to hot leads from Marketing or GPO Initiatives so as to generate interest and lead to further opportunityDeal NegotiationCollaborate with deal modeling, finance and proposal team to develop proposals and execute new business and give feedback/collect data on our stance in the market


Bachelor's degree or applicable experienceHunter/business development mindset 5+ yrs experience in Healthcare SalesSuperior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertiseAbility and willingness to travel 50-75% of the timeA Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either: 2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine OR 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine Anticipated salary range: $147,300 - $176,300Bonus eligible: YesBenefits: Health insurance, 401k Contributions, Paid Time Off, Vacation, STD/LTD
