Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.
Accountabilities
- Prepare written standard processes for ongoing critical activities across the procurement organization (sourcing, supplier qualification, executive escalations, cross-functional alignment procedures, Third Party Risk Management, etc.)
- Review system capabilities required in order for effective procurement management; communicate and coordinate with IT stakeholders regarding system needs
- Administer critical annual/regular procurement initiatives (e.g., savings pipeline management)
- Operate the due diligence and risk assessment processes for Third Party Risk Management
- Proactively identify value opportunities to deliver Medical Procurement annual goals, leveraging insights surfaced through management responsibilities
- Support as required ad hoc needs and/or management support for VP, Procurement Operations and Director, Procurement Governance
- Partner effectively with Procurement team and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; communicates project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to stakeholders in an open and honest fashion
- Drive continuous improvement through ongoing simplification and effective communication to raise awareness to performance, gaps, and opportunities.
- Ensure data integrity and manage data access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
